How StoryPoint Senior Living and Audiences Unlimited are creating moments that matter

At StoryPoint Senior Living, life doesn’t slow down. It fills up. On any given week, you might find seniors vying for bragging rights at bingo, sharing a craft table, or showing up for something delightfully unexpected, such as a “Cow-entine’s Day” visit from a miniature cow!

That kind of engaging interaction isn’t accidental. It’s the result of thoughtful, intentional programming led by life enrichment director Jennifer Panaccio, whose job is—quite literally—to plan all the “fun stuff.”

“I manage three different calendars for three different neighborhoods,” Panaccio said. “We’re building meaningful connections every day through fitness, large-group activities, and live entertainment. And every week, we try to do something brand new.”

That commitment to fresh, engaging experiences is exactly why StoryPoint values its partnership with Audiences Unlimited. It’s a relationship that helps Panaccio expand what’s possible for residents while delivering something that’s hard to replicate in any other format: the unique impact of live performance, especially for seniors in memory care.

A program that reaches people where they are

For Panaccio, the difference Audiences Unlimited makes is clear the moment the music starts.“Music is so important for memory care residents,” she said. “It can support cognitive function. It reduces anxiety. And it creates social interaction. I can’t think of any other programming that has such a meaningful effect.” In many ways, the live music reaches places conversations can’t—inviting residents to participate, remember, and connect with the people around them.

Turning a weekday moment into a shared experience

The performances themselves draw a strong crowd, and that matters in senior living, where engagement is a key indicator of well-being. “It varies,” Panaccio said, “but we had a performance yesterday with about 20–25 residents from our memory care neighborhoods. Sometimes it’s 40–45 residents.” That kind of participation doesn’t happen by chance. It occurs when programming feels safe, accessible, and tuned to the audience in front of you.

Supportive, responsive, and built around resident needs

Panaccio emphasizes that what makes Audiences Unlimited stand out isn’t just the quality of the artists. It’s the partnership. “What I love about Audiences Unlimited is that they’re able to work with our needs,” she said. “It’s a very easy partnership.” In a role where logistics matter, that ease makes a huge difference. Audiences Unlimited simplifies scheduling and communication in a way that helps Panaccio stay focused on residents, not paperwork.

“It’s much easier for me to contact one person and have all the entertainment scheduled,” she said. “They work with artists to meet our needs. We can request music that’s not amplified, or ask for a certain era or a slower tempo. It’s very customized, and it can change as our neighborhood changes.” That flexibility is especially valuable in memory care, where residents’ needs can shift, and the “right fit” might look different from month to month.

The moments you can’t manufacture

“Our seniors are more relaxed and in tune with the music during an AUE performance,” Panaccio said. “It’s interactive. The artists encourage residents to sing along.” In senior living, that kind of response is everything. Not because it’s entertaining (though it is), but because it creates a shared moment, one that helps residents feel present, included, and connected to each other.

Broadening what StoryPoint can offer—right at home

For many seniors, strong programming is part of what makes a community feel like home. And Audiences Unlimited helps Panaccio deliver a wider variety of meaningful experiences without asking residents to leave their comfort zone.

“Our partnership with AUE has broadened what we’re able to offer,” she said. “We can provide a wider variety of entertainment for our seniors, right in their own neighborhoods.” That’s the heart of AUE’s mission: removing access barriers by bringing high-quality, resident-centered experiences directly to the people who need them most. In the process, AUE artists are creating
joy, reducing anxiety, and unlocking memories through something as simple and powerful as a song.

And at StoryPoint Senior Living, Audiences Unlimited helps ensure the calendar isn’t just full—it’s full of moments that matter.
