Red theatre seats

Two years ago, Audiences Unlimited (AUI) and L.I.F.E. Adult Day Academy (L.A.D.A.) teamed up to bring music and movement to L.A.D.A.’s students. We called it Music Enrichment. Thanks to The James Foundation, we’re expanding it to include more of the arts with a new name: My Expressions.

We’re excited to announce the brand new Narrative Theatre Program as the expansion of My Expressions. AUI, L.A.D.A., and theatre director Shelby Lewis have created a one-of-a-kind opportunity for adults with disabilities to participate in narrative play production. Students will rehearse adaptations of popular scripts at the academy to perform for the public. The program is designed to give them confidence and experience with public speaking. Our intent is to empower students and create common ground among people of all abilities. Both students and audience members will learn something new from this enriching experience!

Students are already rehearsing for A Christmas Carol. They have two performances scheduled this December.
