Naturally, this new merger will bring some important changes to our organization. But we think you’ll find that everything that makes AUI such a treasured resource in our community isn’t going anywhere. Here’s a quick rundown on what’s changing and, more importantly, what stays the same after the merger.
What Is Changing
- Our name. Because we will be dissolving our status as a corporation, we’ll be dropping the “Audiences Unlimited Inc.” (AUI) acronym and be known simply as “Audiences Unlimited.”
- Our administrative overhead. These costs will be reduced since they will now be covered by existing Embassy administrative services.
- Our opportunities. As part of the merger, a new program manager will be joining the team. Since this person will no longer need to focus on grant writing, fundraising, and other administrative functions (now falling under the umbrella of the Embassy), the new program manager will be able to focus exclusively on:
- Cultivating and expanding community partnerships
- Recruiting and retaining talented performers
- Increasing our engagement in the community
What Stays the Same
- Our resources. All resources earmarked for Audiences Unlimited will remain reserved for our exclusive use.
- Our processes. Our facilities, community partners, and artists will experience the same support, with the same systems and same people, as before. It’s all part of our design to ensure a completely seamless transition!
- Our mission. Now more than ever, we remain steadfastly committed to mission and legacy our founder, Lilian Embick, launched over 50 years ago. That’s why we’ve decided to merge with a partner who will help us streamline our back-end processes so that our front-end services can shine!
