Meet the heart behind Audiences Unlimited’s newest team member! Alyssa brings creativity, compassion, and a lifelong love of the arts to everything she does — from planning programs to building relationships across the community.
- A Heart for Community. After living in Indianapolis for a number of years, Alyssa recently returned to Fort Wayne to be closer to family and to deepen her roots in the community she loves. “I wanted to work in a place where I could be part of something bigger than myself,” she said. “Fort Wayne feels like home — and Audiences Unlimited is the perfect fit.”
- A Creative Foundation. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Purdue University, Alyssa has always been drawn to the intersection of art and healing. She previously volunteered with the Fort Wayne Dance Collective’s Healing Arts Program at Parkview Hospital, where she helped patients use art as therapy to reduce stress and promote relaxation. “That experience opened my eyes to how art can heal in quiet, powerful ways,” she said.
- Camp Roots. Alyssa’s love of community service and creativity also took shape during six summers with YMCA Camp Potawotami, where she developed teen programs and led outdoor education activities for school groups. Whether in a cabin, a hospital room, or a theatre, Alyssa has always sought to build spaces where people feel connected, creative, and cared for.
- Everyday Inspiration. When she’s not working, Alyssa enjoys traveling, catching live shows and exploring local restaurants with friends and family. She once worked in visual merchandising at West Elm furniture and believes creativity extends to how we shape the spaces where we live and connect.
- Art that Unites. “The arts bring people together,” she said. “They remind us that no matter our age, background, or circumstance, we share a common humanity. I’m inspired by the opportunity to help others experience that joy — to create moments that make life richer, more colorful, and more connected.”
Together with the Audiences Unlimited team, Alyssa is eager to build new connections, amplify the joy of shared artistic experiences, and help make the arts accessible to everyone in our community.
