Audiences Unlimited is grateful for the community partners who make joyful, in-person experiences possible for area seniors through AUE’s In Community programs. This year, donated tickets helped local organizations bring participants to two favorite Fort Wayne destinations: the Fort Wayne Zoo and the Botanical Conservatory.

“These experiences matter because they give people the opportunity to be part of the cultural life of Fort Wayne in person,” said Alyssa Semak, Audiences Unlimited Manager. “For the seniors we serve, a day at the zoo or the conservatory can become a meaningful memory.”

The zoo and botanical conservatory are especially valuable because they offer barrier-free opportunities with no limits on the number of wheelchairs. “Other opportunities can be limited by the accessibility of the venue, so outings like these are very popular,” Semak said.

Audiences Unlimited received 125 regular admission tickets through the Fort Wayne Zoo for All: Community Ticket Grants Program, the most AUE has ever received. The Botanical Conservatory also generously approved 250 regular admission tickets—again, a record number. Each ticket represents a life touched, a connection forged, a new memory made.

“We are so grateful to the Fort Wayne Zoo and the Botanical Conservatory,” Semak said. “Their generosity helps remove barriers and gives more seniors the chance to enjoy beautiful, life-giving experiences in our community.”
